Blue Blooded Podcast
BRIEF
The Blue Blooded Podcast is a college basketball show hosted by Ryan Hammer, who’s known for his “Trapezoid of Excellence” formula. The goal of this project was to create a logo that visually ties into that signature concept while reflecting the energy and tradition of college basketball.
DESIGN DIRECTION
The logo is built around a trapezoid shape—directly inspired by Hammer’s “Trapezoid of Excellence.” Basketball laces are cut out of the trapezoid to connect the mark to the sport in a clean, minimal way.
A custom wordmark was designed with sharp cuts to mirror the edges of the trapezoid icon, creating a unified visual language. Two shades of blue were used to reinforce the “Blue Blooded” name and evoke the legacy of powerhouse basketball programs. The primary logo lockup takes the overall shape of a basketball lane, grounding the identity in the court itself.
